Does this mean that the update, which should have been released in Sep and was later delayed to early Oct, is now delayed again to late Oct?
Well, it's because we are working on delivering more than intended, so it's not that we are taking it really slow :P
I definitely think players would value that more than timeframes.
Not really, it's that we changed the XP required per level, so the difference that solos currently have will matter more.
But if you really want to know, I'll tell you. This update never had a set release date (changing systems isn't something we want to rush), which is why it wasn't mentioned on the front page. We'll take as much time as needed to make it right and add things that require programming support.
As for the tentative release date, the earliest mention was on Aug 20:
'There will be a system update in between, probably in Sep.'
'Probably in Sep' and 'should have been released in Sep' are two very different things, but you already know that. The next mention was on Sep 16:
'We are working on a systems update, to be released in early October.'
We did finish the changes in time for the release but decided to add a couple of new weapons for balance reasons, some weapons will replace the currently available weapons, so we'd rather include them now, then later. Also, Nick is working on party members' revive system and - IF it works well and doesn't harm the existing gameplay - we'd like to release it in the new update as well.
If you are using facts you should make sure that they are correct:
The release date was mentioned in the following thread for the first time on Jun 16 ...
https://steamcommunity.com/app/648410/discussions/0/5161702717245134749/#c5161702717245149269
... and the relevant post never mentions 'probably' ...
'We are going to do another pass at the armor system in September, making a few uniques and trying to get close to the final balance in terms of stats.'
The part about the party members' revive system is at least useful and interesting.
Exactly, but according to your previous post the quoted post did not exist at all and it does especially not contain the restriction (probably) you mentioned.
- new weapons
- new (sub-)classification of weapons
- new feats
- reworked feats
- reworked implant (?)
- reworked evasion
- reworked armor
- reworked combat
- possibly revive-system
Deadline is irrelevant; we'll see it when it is ready to be shown.
Curious though ;-P
First, it was Jun and not Jul. Second, following this 'logic' would mean that posting a release schedule is pointless, but you did it at the EA page.
Three members of our team are in Ukraine. The recent attacks on the energy infrastructure left them without power and internet. We hope it will be restored soon but who knows?
You locked the last thread, because of a political discussion, but now you use a political argument yourself ...
