My thoughts on the soundtrack
They left a bad first impression of me due to the lack of quantity and quality BUT it makes up for it all the soundtracks currently available are very easy to listen to over and over without being too annoying. There is a huge difference between trying to appeal to someone too much versus asking for good but not great feelings and the tracks available are like that.

This takes alot of restraint to do especially for an early access game where your customer's first impression and interest are on the line. Perhaps making something "OMG 10/10 AMAZING" would have attracted more customers but this feels like a very stable approach that appeals to me more than that.

7/10 for the soundtrack even if there are only 3 tracks simply because they don't overbear themselves even after my 80 hours playtime.

For what I want for soundtracks 1 for armoury, hydroponics, factory, outskirts, frogs (especially the first psychic frogs) get their own soundtrack and the start of the game.

It's very likely that the soundtrack isn't done yet. For the previous title, the devs worked pretty closely together with the composer (Ryan Eston Paul) to get the music to fit the setting as best as possible, and it seems to be the case here as well.

My two cents concerning the soundtrack are that both AoD and DR had unused tracks, which appeared on the soundtrack but not in the game (Emperor combat in DR), or underused tracks, which only appeared once (Ganezzar siege/Inferiae demon). This came at the cost of only using one combat track in AoD, despite there being four of them in total.

Repetitiveness is less jarring for ambient music, since you'll be changing locations often enough to see variation, but it can be unpleasant for combat music. DR did a great job for this, separating human fights from creature fights from construct fights (the construct track still gives me PTSD, it's one of my all-time favourites), plus one for the final fight against the Aurelians.

In AoD, on the other hand, you get one general-use combat track, one slight variation for Faelan, one for Ganezzar's breach and the Inferiae demon (the Zamedi demon I think is currently bugged, since it has the Facility ambient track), and one track for fighting Agathoth. Most playthroughs will never even hear them, which is a shame since they're really well composed and fit the world like a glove.

I agree I love the Agothoth sound track it always feels epic making me wish there was another god to test my mettle against (the other three are choose your own adventure books) especially since I beat him with a almost pure combat assassin quite easily and the demon soundtrack was kind of a letdown making that fight very miserable for me

Is he humble? I feel your soundtracks in all your games never really overreached for my attention :P

So humble that he struggles with feelings of self-worth...

So I interpreted the artists feelings correctly xd. Art be it games, music or books that resonates with me best comes from people with similar life experiences. I am simply inept of being artist of any kind but my attempts helped me understand the intent behind Art.

Chris hunt the maker of kenshi is my favourite artist where his art took on his life experiences of making the game. Starting at the bottom, being beaten down Starving, taking what little improvements you can get and repeat. The sheer desolation, despair and depression he must've felt making kenshi is something that resonated with me.

I'll be cruel as the Art enjoyer and hope that you never truly forget your roots as an artist but I hope you improve enough that you continue making Art and lower the chances of something worse happening.

Thank you for your music which I consistently enjoyed. Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I really like the soundtracks so far. I too have noticed that they don’t get annoying / old. They’re very durable and immersive, appropriate to the setting.
