I don't understand why there is a need to promote a religious agenda in a game? Is this a game about faith and belief in a supreme being? The screenshots seem to indicate it is not, so why the bother?

As an atheist, I can't say I'm much appealed by this prospect, sorry.

I imagine the game will be at the very least critical towards religion given the setting. I don't think there are many religious or even pro-religious people who are working on video games.

Just to expand concerning the setting, there is a very prominent faction based off Christianity so that's where that language comes from. I very much doubt that the game will be overtly sympathetic to them so there ain't much reason to worry.

im atheist too but you have to understand you're on a religious colony ship a few generations down lol. one of the factions is religious, theres two other factions you can join to fight the christians if you want lol

I'm just fed up with all this ambiant religiosity admittedly. Let people live their life without pushing to their face they must believe in a god.

I wouldn't call such references a religious agenda and I hope that as an atheist you're able to read/watch history or fiction set during periods when religion was an important part of life.

If your game is about religious people in an ark ship, then ok. It was not clear from the summary or the screenshots.

Yet if you decide to join them, we'll do our very best to show them as the most sensible faction, the only right choice there is. The player shouldn't feel foolish for joining the Church.

Naturally, we'll do the same if you join the Brotherhood or Protectors. We support players' choices without pushing any political or religious agenda.
