Future mods
I really enjoyed RTS's from the 90's. Particularly Dune II. I'd love to see a Dune style game in this engine. Maybe even a Total Annihilation among others. Classic 2D is the way to go.

Looking forward to seeing those mod tools

Yeah, you can make mods right now, and there are quite a few out there but sharing them is a bit tricky right now, working on fixing that.
