I'm with you on the "multiple things assigned to the same button" annoyance, though. One thing to work around point 2 is to switch characters while jumping. The "form swap" doesn't trigger mid-jump, so it goes right to the character swap menu.
This.
I swear Howard the Duck is GameOverGreggy lol
For the second point, I agree that there are too many function to use Y to activate. Honestly, I prefer pressing B to activate special attack between two heroes.
For the third point, this doesn't happen on me. After I die, I still remain controlling the character I was using.
For the forth point, I think that is okay to have character zoom. Just move to next character and see who is it doesn't take too much time.
For the fifth point, you need to hold A to activate. I think it will be great if you can control well. For me, I know how those movement activate clearly and it is not a problem.
For the sixth point, I think it is because it is hard to invite the actor of those superheroes for the voice. Some of them are okay like Spider-Man but some of them really sound strange.
Maybe other LEGO Games is more suitable for you but I think LEGO and Marvel fans will love it.
