Lockjaw Broken for me?

There is a specific Stan Lee in Peril world map mission in manhattan. There is a bowl that is obviously a lockjaw teleport bowl. When you get near it, Lockjaw's thumbnail even comes up. But the game won't allow me to pick Lockjaw in the character select screen. I know this is kind of an issue with large characters where you can't pick them unless there is room, but moving all around this point, nothing works. It's in a highrise building where a flying character enters through the side so there isn't a way I can get a non-flying character that I picked from a distance to get into the building. Is anyone else having this problem?
