Boss Battles: Anyone here who actually ENJOYS them?
The boss battles in this game are far too plentyful, take way too long and are incredibly boring and tedious. What's it with TT Games focusing on the fighting in these games? It's by far the worst mechanic in the LEGO games and way too simple to be used that much!

Enemies should not have life bars, they should not wear armor and they should not respawn! You cannot fail in these games and the fights are not challenging at all, so why have this many enemies? They did so well with "The Force Awakens", which is diversified, has lots of stuff to build, simple fights and does not focus on horrible boss battles.

I just don't get it. Most boss battles in "Marvel 2" are HORRIBLE. It's mostly just "Wait til the boss is not invulnerable anymore, then attack." Which would be fine if they didn't take that many hits. How could they end up in the game like this? Did no-one play-test this?

TT Games: Have us build stuff, have us use character's abilites, let us solve simple puzzles and mini games. But stop it with these boss battles, please! I'm so upset about this. At least half of the campaign is boss battles - what the hell? It's boring as hell!

Anyone here who's actually enjoying the boss battles? Is there something I'm not getting here?

I feel the same. I can see a big portion of the younger fan base giving up and never coming back. Pretty disappointing game overall. It had a pretty cool story, but everything else is pretty much the worst these lego games have been, especially combat. It also doesn't help that this is really LEGO Avengers 2, but they used the Marvel Heroes brand because it sold better. The first one is 10 times the game this one is.

Im also not a big fan of the combat system, specially with enimies that has shields and spears, they block every attack witch a damn sepear even beam attacks and big fig attacks. And i really dont like how big figs like hulk cant hit people with spears and break armors, and gets thrown across the map with frustrating flip attacks and spear charges like no!

I dont mind enimies having armors to make it less boring but dont put them in missions where you dont have a charactor with the ability to break them. Some of the boss battles were pretty cool while others were boring doing the same thing over and over. Wouldve like it if the game lets you build creative things to take down the boss instead of beating is over and over only to make it go in to invulnarable mode with 1 health.

The health bars are not a big issue as long as the enimies go down quickly and enimies cant hit big figs across the room. And F%#$ that character swapping system where every time you swap a character it oes a team up move and so hard to swap to the correct character you need so everytime you swap you swap to the unflyable captain america at the bottom of the freaking level and the character you made progress with come straight down like a lil bih.

That character team up issue (if you're having it frequently) can be fixed by turning off that specific Extra brick. It wasn't too bad before I had it and turned it on, but afterwards it was aggravating.

SO BORIIIIIIIIIIIING
I like when they had the team attack as special instead of swap.

I also agree it's better if you fight them then you need to build a object while they laugh in the background before continuing the fight and repeat.

I agree! I wonder why they removed the character selection wheel that other LEGO games have. Oh and I hate that in free roam mode, when you wanna bring up the character selection you hold down the button (Y on XBOX Controller) and your character transforms or changes clothes (e.g. Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man etc.) and only after that you get the character selection – as if there weren't any buttons left to map that action to!

The air battle with Zemo, Star-Lord and Captain America is the only boss battle I can remember that I actually enjoyed.

At least the fighting is not as tedious as in Avengers, in which you have to use these drawn-out special attacks all the time to defeat basic enemies (or hit them a hundred times with your standard punch). Though now you have these annoying boss battles all the time... ugh...

Yeah I'm not a fan of the boss fights at all. They take way too long and I find them boring.
