Here's how to do it:
The fifth ending is like the ending I mentioned in #1 which first starts out with the plain wailing transmission. Getting the mysterious whistling transmission means that the game will lead you to endings #3 or #4 so a reset is necessary if it happens. Follow the steps in ending #1 normally and after you send an expedition to the fortress. The objective tab will update in a few days; if the objective says "wait for haven's call" then you are on the path to ending #1 and a reset is necessary. If the objective say "look out for another survival situation" or something on the lines of that, then you are on track for this 5th ending. The survival situation you are looking for is when a phobian is giving out a signal and you need A.S.T.R.O to translate in which you select the yes option to translate the message. After a some days of A.S.T.R.O translating the message, the objective tab will update to tell you to explore the radiozone and the distant glade. When I did this ending I did not complete these objectives and instead had an option to head to the safe haven despite not searching for the areas first in which I selected yes. This led me to get this 5th ending which is the same as the 1st ending except that the haven was primarily purple environment similar landscape to the 1st ending landscape with no phobians walking around. I think there is a bug where this purple landscape is also used in the 1st ending which has the phobians walking around as to the alternative campsite background.
Theres got to be another unknown ending we have yet to find.
But I got a question, were you playing solo when you got this ending?
Because the only way I can get the "look for another survival opportunity" message is when I'm playing solo.
