645214 (don't look it up, I just hit some random numbers)
and it's for the car "Best Car Ever". Now, in that folder you will find some files (duh :) ) and one of them could be called
so now it looks like this
So make sure, that the folder has the same name, as the car_...cms file, without the "car_" and the ".cms" part.
Edit: Well, all of that definitely works, if you're on steam. I don't know about third-party-stuff! Nevermind, then
is that some sort of sign from the dev of that mod?
do i have to mark that too?
For example: car_ferrari250gto-deadbob777.cms
would be
ferrari250gto-deadbob777
Yes, it is. I also have a lot of mods by this guy.
Not sure what part of their 'method' you find doesn't work. But, even if you don't have the game on Steam, you should still be able to find the appropriate folder to put the mods in and be sure the mods folder name matches the mod car name as suggested. It should then be in your game regardless of which platform you're using. The difference will be.....where....you get your mods from. Steam version can get them from steam workshop. Other versions may need to download them from the web. There's a website hosting most every mod available for this game--several that are not even on the workshop.
Car_bestcarever.cms . The folder of that car would be called bestcarever
Take the Epic version as a free trial/ demo...
Btw Xander...this thread wasn't deleted.....just got moved to the appropriate Sub-Forum--'Modding.'
But, you can still delete it if you want. However, this has questions and answers others have been asking too.
