Car Prices
How and where can you change the prices for the cars for example junkyard and barns?
Since a few days some original cars are extreme expensive (200000 and more), is it because of adding a few cars or is it the game itself?

And a second short question. Is it possible to change a original car to a add on car so we can play the game with them (only when 44 cars from all the modders are available)?

1. Yep you can change the car price modifier in the cars config file. That can be found at:
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets\Cars

Look for "uniqueMod=xx" change the modifier there to higher or lower. It is under the [8_logic] section.

2. Yep, there are several tutorials here how to do that. If I am understanding correctly. You want to use Car A with Engine A but also have Car A with Engine B and have both in game. That is how I am understanding it anyhow. That can be found in the pinned topic in these forums on the first page. Titled "How to have two versions of the same car in CMS 2018"

1. ok thx
2. No, what i mean is can i replace a original game car with a addon car
(for example replace Salem Spectre Fastback with Ameisin's Chevrolet Camaro Z28)?
There are 44 cars in the game (40 "wanna be like..." cars and 4 original licensed). If we have 40 new created cars from some modders we could have a really cool game.

Ahhh ok gotchya. I am not really sure. I don't see why not. You could delete the wannabe car, then rename the mod car to what you want I suppose. That should be able to be done in the name file and then again in the config file. In theory it sounds like it could work, but I have not messed with that. if you do try it though be sure to back up files. The one file I am not sure about is the .cms file as far as if anything would need to be changed there. I also think you would be looking at messing with parts lists as well. Although there would be no real way of removing the wannabe parts from the store.

Well damn, now I might have to do it to actually see how that would all work out.

So, in order to change the base price, you change the [1_other]allowedPlaces=Order.XX, and for a limited edition vehicle with a collectable value you change the [8_logic]uniqueMod=XX. Is that what you are basically saying? ;) I really hope someone is still following this thread, because the discussions on CMS2018 are scattered all over the place. ;)

allowedPlaces -- this tells car where to spawn and what level you need to be for it to spawn as mission car

uniqueMod -- this will adjust the cars overall price every where just need to set it to suitable price that you would like it to be

Also this what modders Q&A section is for
