Minimum repair percentage for some parts only?
I did a job just now with minimum replacement part percentage at like 31% or something. So I used a bunch of spare parts for most of the required repairs. However I did the wheel bearing and cap at 50% and 75%, but it turned out that they needed to be 100%. Every other part was fine being under 100%. Is this usual for these two parts? I haven't paid much attention to the repair percentage until now as I had just been buying new parts for everything. (Now I'm a millionaire I've become stingey, just like real life.)

Perhaps it's a realistic safety issue? Nobody wants a shonky bearing. Or perhaps a glitch?

I thinks it's only for the pats replaced not any part.
Generally speaking, if it's listed one the job, it must be replaced with a 100% part. The minimum percentage is for parts that aren't on the job list. For things like pistons or bushings where you might have 12 or 14 of the same thing but only 1 or 2 are listed, if you click on the star next to it in the job list, it will highlight that part on the car so you don't have to try to remember or guess which one was the bad one.

Ahhh sorry to break it to you since you may have been wasting money on new parts and max repairs all this time, but you are wrong. The "minimum repair percentage" number is referring precisely to replacement/repair parts. Of course story jobs are always 100%, but regular jobs vary greatly. For example I just did one with minimum 45%, so I got to use all the 50% parts I had leftover from another job. Give it a try next time you play, you will save a lot of time and money!

I guess it was probably a glitch but I will try to remember to check next time I have a worn bearing.
