Having Trouble with camera
Been playing for years, and this just started lately, and is making the game tough to play. Whenever I zoom in real close to anything, the camera will slowly pan out as far as it can. I have tried three different mice, and the problem still exists even with a new mouse. I checked the settings, and they have not changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

That's pretty strange. Almost sounds like 'controller drift' which happens with worn out game controllers. Do you have any game controllers connected to your PC? If you do, be sure those are unplugged before starting the game. If that's not it, have you ran the 'verify files' option in steam library--CMS properties? That's worth a try. Otherwise, you could try resetting all your keybind / controls settings to defaults, restart the game, go back in and edit the controls / keybind settings the way you like. For example... I do not like the camera to automatically zoom in / out when clicking on parts to start removal / replacement and have that disabled. So, resetting everything to default, restart, changing settings back... should ensure the proper settings getting used in-game.

Now, if none of this is helpful, there's always the 'when in doubt' rule. Uninstall / Re-install the game. Just be sure to make a backup of your 'Profile 0' folder in the CMS directory of your users files. Also, be sure you have that dang steam cloud sync disabled for this game cuz, it can / will cause odd behaviors and / or save corruption.

Wow, thanks. That was a real "D'oh!" Last time this happened it was the mouse that did it. Even though I had it set to keyboard controls, that wacky old X-Box controller is what made it drift. Many happy thanking!

Check up in the upper left corner .....settings/controller and make sure you have the proper inputs selected .......a recent steam update for some reason changed my inputs to nintendo and it caused this driff in my controller ........setting it back to Xbox fixed the problem

My Xbox controller really screwed up a lot of my games inc CMS when it stated to cause drifting (it was worn and no parts (genuine) for the pots) and ms stopped making them.
Bought generics and they were crap from the get-go. I eventually used a PS3 Dual shock and excellent software on the net. Now if in doubt I just unplug it and use mouse KB
