Go to workshop and chose show all subscribed mod for the game.... make notes on what they are then "unsubscribe all." Start up game, once in main menu, chose dlc and be sure all your dlc is showing installed. Otherwise, go into Steam library and "manage dlc" to install any missing dlc.
Exit game..... at no point should you have loaded up your save btw. In steam... the game's properties.. do "Verify file integrity" just to be sure you don't have a corrupted file. Now go into steam workshop and subscribe back to your mods again. Then load up the game.... might double check to see that dlc did all install properly.... load up your game and see if you still have errors. The car(s) with no engine before might still be damaged but, the game should be working properly so you don't get more cars with no engines.
i already have a DLC and i just bought DLC from oct 2019 and there is a update. i just got a warning is that some vehicle engine turn a DUMMY!? WHAT THE HELL!?
i already tried to fix it as you are telling me how to fix it. i already uninstalled DLC and MOD and car mechanic simulator 2018. i already verify integrity game file 10 time by repeating. i already installed DLC, MOD, car mechanic simulator 2018 6 time and there is nothing been back to normal and i am pissed off! i already reporting to server that there i a DAMN BUG and they cannot "reporting about bug"!
And, C:\users\(your user name)\AppData (hidden folder)\LocalLow\Red Dot Games\Car Mechanic Simulator... this you can just delete the Red Dot Games and all it's contents except that you'd keep a backup copy of the "Profile 0" folder within there if you want a backup of your save game. Although, it maybe that the save is corrupted. If you did all this, then Installed the game again and still having this problem.... not sure what is going on. The Devs will not give you much help if you've installed a bunch of mods into your game though cuz, those can and will cause problems sometimes.
And the message you get is typical for an update of a workshop car, where the designer has changed the engine type.
If you get the message of a engine dummy it means that you have installed a modded car that needs a specific dlc from red dot to work correctly. And that you do not have that needed dlc installed.
