This vs CMS 2021...?

Is CMS 2021 a better game than this version or have the dev's just rehashed the 2018 version and re-sold it as the 2021 version?

The newest version has some extra features that never made it into CMS2018. Mainly fluids / hoses in engine compartement. Some of the tasks that were performed with a simple click are now mini-games. This is good or bad depending on the player. Some felt the simpler method (in CMS2018) just made it feel more like a click-fest and they love the new Mini-games. Other's may feel quite the opposite.

So, yeah, there are some improvements and added features. But, it is more or less the same game. If you are trying to chose which one to buy, you're main consideration might be.....which one has more content NOW and / or are you willing to wait for more content.

CMS18 has a ton of mods and DLC vs CMS21 is currently lacking in mods and DLC--but it is coming....eventually.

I have both and I play 2021 lot more now. New shopping list alone is worth it and you have some more depth with fluids and new tools.
Auction house is lot better and easier to use. Wrecks at junkyard are more interesting with partially missing components etc.
Only downside is the new garage with no display floors like they had in 2018 but hopefully they will add it in future.

I know this is old but one thing I really like about CMS 2021 is that the community (mods) body shop store is way better optimized. You have to select the car before looking at its body parts (the cars in your garage show up at the top of the list).

This is way better than 2018 which loaded all of the parts at one time which is a disaster if you have a lot of mods downloaded
