Hoist won't work

Just installed this game, Got my first job and the hoist won't work. which pretty much makes me dead on the water.

you only click once, you don't hold it down when you click

On passenger side of car when you have it on the hoist, there is a control box. You have to click it once for lifting car half way, then a 2nd time to raise all the way, then once more to bring it back to half way down and finally, click and hold to drop hoist all way down. Sometimes you have to turn yourself at an angle so you are looking at control box but not so much at car or games' targeting thinks you clicking the car.

Did you drain the oil, remove transmission, all that good stuff?

I think you all are referring to the vehicle lift. He's talking about a hoist, aka engine stand, to pull the engine out. I might be wrong.

Well....if they are talking about the 'Cherry Picker' aka Engine hoist / crane....yep, that isn't unlocked till they make some XP levels and unlock it at the toolbox. Just have to rebuild engines while still in the car till then.

there is a box on the lift with buttons one it. click the button to get it to raise.

Also since nobody mentioned it as a possible issue you gotta make sure the car is actually at the hoist and not still parked by the garage door, using right-click on the car and 'move car'.
