Easiest way to buy things for the cars

Hello,
I've been trying to complete this game's achievements.
I'm currently working on the story orders, and the cars always need a ton of things bought for them.
The way I do it now is to go over to them and remember a couple parts, go over to the computer, buy them, go back to the car and remember a couple more parts, buy them, and it usually takes at least 10 minutes to buy all of the parts doing it this way. So I'm wondering if there's an easier way to buy things for the cars? I know there's a shopping list but it's a pain in the butt to add things to it because you have to put the part back on after you know it's bad.
Anyone know an easier way?

The best way I've found is to tear down all of the defective parts. Paint everything in Inspection mode to easily find any unidentified parts. Go into your Inventory and sort by Name and then right-click the bad parts in order. This will make your shopping list.

Also, did you know that you can right-click parts on the vehicle to add them to your shopping list?

I will sometimes build 2 of the same car back to back. When I buy parts for the first car I will go ahead and get 2 of everything so building the second car is a breeze! Also, it gets easier once you learn a certain car inside and out. I can scroll down the parts page on certain cars and know exactly what to buy.

It's not for me to say, I could certainly be wrong, but I don't think OP is at that level of game play.

Nice! I had no idea you could add to shopping list from your inventory. Makes it much easier. I will try this soon!

Be sure to sort your inventory by name BEFORE you add items to you shopping list.

Makes shopping a breeze.

Oh, it helps big time. Sorting by name (as I and jilndave told you) is a huge help.

BTW, you can do this even with missing parts.
