Report a translation problem
I'm all about lighting in games, even if it's "faked" like AO. It just makes everything look richer to me. (Bloom and SSR is too much for me in this game, so they stay disabled.) So i thought I'd try your suggestion to see if it fixed the cursor lag. I'd still be okay with some frame drops. It didn't work, though, but it's not because of what you suggested. It's the combo of my aging hardware/game optimization. I thought it would be worth a shot to try it, just to eliminate the cursor lag in 1440p. No problems for me in 1080p.
