I do like new cars, always great to see that.
Liquids are nice, tho I dont see any hoses to connect, yet :D
But the main question is.....will Red Dot team allow actual car tuning and modifications in 2021? Remember Total Modifications from CMS15? I want that back.
The EXTREME engine swaps, extreme suspension options.
But we will see.
And go shopping for equipment and configuring the garage according to the will of each one.
Another thing that I think is missing from CMS18 is the directional alignment.
And in my view the multiplayer aspect is very important
Also rusty bolts often need to be heated up before they come out, this should also be rendered into the Simulation.
More attention to detail, might win this game over, if not, it will be much of the same. I will wait for YouTube reviews before I buy and they had better hit the mark...just saying.
Btw, thanks for posting. Looking forward to more.
I'm not expecting these though so I'm doubtful i'll buy right away if at all.
Hopefully it will be easy for modders to port their work into the new game, would really hate for them to redo cars and start from scratch.
New cars look interesting and it seems we are getting fluids! Let's hope more mechanics like wiring are in the game too. Also really hope that junkyard cars are more beaten compared to CMS2018. I'm talking missing suspension and rims, because in 2018 only engine, exhaust, and body parts are the only things that can be missing in junkyard cars.
On the engine/building side - they need more detail/parts. Not just V8 cam and V8 High Performance cam. There need to be many variations that all have different impacts on HP, Torque, car weight, etc. They have done a pretty good job w/this on the wheels/rims side of things but not on the engine/suspension parts. Every suspension is either two types. Why not have different brands/types of shocks/springs, etc that may have a slight different impact on the car.
Paints/colors - Needs to be more, need to be an easy template where modders can use to add these into the game via workshop. That would change a lot of things especially in regards to liveries.
And, there needs to be something to do with your cars once restored. Maybe a show room, weekly car shows, online auctions that people can trade rare parts or rare cars or restored cars or full motor builds, etc. This game has so much potential IF they would just put some depth into it. The gear head community is starving for a complete build, restore, race, sell, show, type of game. I think this part is one of the areas that if they dove into it, they could really push the game. After you repair a few cars and restore a few cars, it gets boring and repetitive. Most cars get restored and either sold or thrown in a garage. The driving aspect is boring and terrible. Maybe do something where each week, you have a track or two and the top ten times in each car class (based on HP or torque or some metric) wins money or a rare part or a rare livery or something in that matter. Give a purpose to the cars you are restoring.
All of this was done over 15 years ago and it's so needed today. I have many Play Way games, they have some great games in their portfolio but so many of them IMO are very limited in depth and could be so much more.
An in-game livery editor would be nice to see, something akin to how Gran Turismo Sport does it where there's a community hub of different designs and logo/sponsor stickers that you can download and use on your own liveries.
