I have also yet to see one for sale, but I rarely go to the dealer and also don't attend very often at auctions.
Later i did the config thing to make all dlc cars show up in barns and junkyard.
One of the game's folders on your hard drive is called "Cars"
On a side note: if you open it with the Windows notepad, which is the standard txt-file-editor it will look confusing! So use a different app if you can. WordPad does just fine, as well as Office/ Word or whatever. I use a nifty free program called "Notepad++" for stuff like this
In each config file there is a section like this
allowedColors is irrelevant now, and not every car has that line, but the next line is critical. Never mess with the first value! (Order.2) The others are pretty self explanatory, you can have four values
So, if you add "Shed" and "Junkyard" to the line, the car can also spawn in barns and the scrap yard. Of course it's vital to avoid typos, start with capital letters and use no spaces between the commas. Nobody seems to know, if the order in which the words appear have an effect on something.
Some of the cars (although not the Hellcat) have variants. In these cases you will find more config files called config1.txt, config2.txt and so on. If you'd wand to change things for these models, you'd have to do it with each individual config file. But as I said, luckily it's unnecessary for this car.
another section, that's relevant for your purpose is
The uniqueMod determines, how rare and thus valuable a car is. It can be any value between 1.00 and 9.99. The lower this number is, the more likely it becomes for the car to spawn in its allowed places, but it's also cheaper (to buy and sell). If you put this value too high, the cars can be ridiculously expensive and extremely hard to find! Although I changed it for some cars, I think it's just right for the Challenger SRT Hellcat, but it's your decision, if you like it as it is.
The highest value I personally chose was 3.55 for the Ford GT40. It was way too common and too cheap for a car of which only 134 were built IRL ;) But I digress!
All the changes you make will be reverted, if you "Verify integrity of game files ... ". So if you screw your data completely, you can always go back, but if you have to verify the files for some other reason, you'd have to do it all over again. So I made a copy of my "Cars" folder to be able to just copy it over in such a case.
The same would be true in case of another update, but I don't think there will be one. Any way: I'm prepared.
Do all this and you're good to go. I hope this helps, despite not being a screen shot. Good luck and have fun!
edit: had to correct a lot of typos
Thank! I appreciate your kind words.
Can confirm that the order in which you write the words in the config doesn't matter.
Do you also happen to know, what the .number after
Of course I tried finding something in this forum, but with no avail. Found out a lot of useful stuff, but nothing about this value.
It's not important, I'm just soo curious.
