There's an option in the settings menu to disable the travel fees. If you don't have a lot of money, it's good for that. I've never turned them off, but that option is there if you need it.
I rarely do the reload method, but it has helped before. I just thought I'd mention it as an option, too.
The Gullwing, 500E, 560SEC, and Pagoda can be found in the Auction, Barn, and Junkyard.
The SLS AMG can be found in the Auction and the Car Salon (dealership).
Hope this all helps. ;)
(Also, 20 trips to the Junkyard, at 250 a trip, would be 5,000. I'm using dollars, though. Maybe you're using a different currency.)
Sounds like you have a good plan. Have fun. :)
Coming from a former European who now lives in America, I get a chuckle at how many people buy European-spec cars expecting to be able to drive them fresh off the boat, with no training, no mentoring, no idea about how powerful they can be, etc.
Indeed, Americans are always wrecking newer cars, particularly ones they have no idea how to drive beyond the fact that they saw it in a video game and thought it would be cool to own one. I believe the record for wrecking one was a little over four minutes, in Los Angeles, of course. Idiot bought a supercar, couldn't control it, and crashed it into a concrete median divider.
Yeah, you'll easily find newer cars in junkyards in America. Simply put, they can't drive worth stink. Maybe NASCAR drivers, but they tend to drive in circles and only turn left. That was for my Texas friend, who has heard that particular phrase from me many times over the years. :D
And the newer vehicles will yield a huge profit if you buy them from the Junkyard. I don't use any mods, but I imagine it does the same thing as manually changing the config files, maybe?
It depends on where you are in the USA. I'm in the midwest, so you're not gonna find any Pagani supercars around here, let alone in a junkyard. Hahaha. Might find them in some coastal cities, though. I just like having them all show up in the Junkyard. It's just more fun and diverse, and you can make a lot more cash. That's just me, though.
