Cannot see all faulty "repair or replace" body parts ir more than 12 using gamepad/controller

I play with a gamepad and most of the time it's great.
The only problem I have is when repairing a car that has more than 12 entries in the "faulty body parts list on the right side of the screen. I can't get that box to scroll; when looking at damaged parts in an engine or brake system, I can move the cursor into that right hand list and scroll through it. Not so with the body parts list -- perhaps because you cannot track the parts. The last time it happened, I returned to set up and enabled the mouse instead and was able to scroll the list. I wrote down the parts, went back to setup and changed back to gamepad.
Has ant one else experienced this? If so, have you found a way to scroll the faulty parts list?

This is still an issue.
Just worked on a car with 14 bad body parts
Had to:
* save game
* go to setting
* change to keyboard + mouse,
* go back to game
* look at the list of bad body parts
* save game
* go to settings
* change back to controller
* go back to game
* fix body parts I had to write down because I cannot scroll to them

Seems like it should be a simple problem to fix.
If I could easily switch between mouse + controller, that would also be acceptable
or if there were a keyboard shortcut to scroll the list
