Restoration Bonus?
I've tried fixing up my first car from a barn. I replaced every part below 30%. I didn't have much money so I just tried to keep the costs as low as possible. Now I want to sell it but there is basically no profit. The restoration bonus is at $0 and the sell price barely covers the cost of parts.

From what i have read, it seems you are supposed to get all parts to 100% for a good bonus? That seems kinda stupid seeing as most of the parts are in OK condition and aren't worth the cost of replacing.

I took a car and spent a long time taking apart and rebuilding everything, ordering parts and got it into working order and I get no money for it?

Am I misunderstanding?

to get the Restoration Bonus the car must be at 100%. as long as you own the can and have the wheels on the car you can send it to your parking lot so you can take your time fixing it up

Unless you have the final garage expansion which lets you use the welder to fix the car frame and the interior detailing kit to fix the interior you won't get the full restoration bonus. Yes it is stupid (somewhat) but you can get a partial bonus if it is above something like 80 or 90%.

Don't expect to get much money from it. I purcashed a pretty nice car from a barn and fixed everything up to 100% except for the main part of the engine block and a few parts of the body. Took over an hour of time and I probably only made maybe 10k off it.

Yes, you can make lots of cash when restoring low(er) mileage junkyard cars by using all the possible tuning parts, thats the best way to earn money. And you need the welder (lvl 30 I think). In the early game getting to at least level 30 should be your first priority, not the money. Then you can become a millionaire.

Even if you had a nearly full restored pagani, only one broken part installed will ruin your profit. Forgetting a licence plate or a rubber bushing could cost you a five digit sum of your bargain.
