Garage customization
since the next update is supposed to contain Garage customization. what is it you would like to see. personally l would like to see room for a couple more custom pictures/banners.
another thing i was thinking about was a engine wall mount to decoratively display and store engines.

After watching a little too much Garage rehab when it was on, I'd like the ability to move the pieces around and set it out how you'd like.

But I'd at least like as many engine stands as you have ramps, and I don't really use the Test path, maybe make that a couple more parking spaces.

The ONLY thing that really is missing from most garages is a DECENT calendar...
I mean... somewhere... you know... THAT calendar :steammocking:
EDIT : Btw, to not beeing sexist, it has to be in 2 versions... males & females so every gender (well almost...) would be happy, and could get his preference.

Mmm I mean, if it's a choice, yeah that could be cool to have to make REAL choices, and when you WANT something you have to GIVE UP something to fit it... Like your 3 engine stand in place of that repair bench. So that if you want them so badly, you have to make a decision that impacts your game... But then that repair bench instead of that test path, etc...

Yeah I would love to be able to shuffle things around while having to make a choice that locks something else, so I can't get it all.

I currently dislike that you have all, and it makes it almost useless to have to apply yourself points into perks... as you can have them all.... While it's ofc a basic implementation in any sort of "sim" game with levels, the fact of having choices that are THAT irrelevent is kinda Meeehh....

Like having the 15% reduction in shop should be pushed further to 20% BUT completely LOCKS ability to repair stuff... a REAL gameplay choice... Junkyard parts ? or nice shop reduction... but NOT both... And if you choose repair, then LOCK perks that alows discounts in shops...

ah yes the calenders i know them well. my dad always got quite a few from all the suppliers.
but i must say while i like the skill system personally i would prefer having to buy the garage upgrades rather than just unlocking them.
or have both like the part repair system you can have the tool but need to learn to use it.

I was at a Car Shop today, and I saw a huge Lime Green Tool Box, that would be cool to have in my Garage.

Think some of the comments here especially on progression are a bit off. Levelling is really bad as some things like paint shop are gated behind level 30 or 35 that prevent you from fully restoring a car (interior, and frame also). The paint shop in particular means that before level 30 the best you can do is to replace a body part with new and car looks a mess overall.

Paint shop should either be purchasable w cash or even better there should be a way to send parts out for paint at large $ cost before you have paint shop. Getting paint shop should give large discount in painting parts and also unlock custom colors, liveries, and custom paint jobs that you wouldn't have access to just sending parts out.

For garage customizations would prefer they were cosmetic and not limit as to functionality your garage has as one user suggested. I want cosmetics to be stuff like clean floors, tidy bench, clean office. The stock is really bad and unrealistic (like office with papers all over floor). Let me buy those upgrades with cash.. not xp.

I was suggesting that to get more difference between a sort of *near sandbox" mode once you unlocked all...

And btw... complaining about those unlocks... you are aware there is a way to get (near) max level from start (and other things) just with some new profile specific names right ? so if you want to avoid the grind, there is currently a possibility.

Haven't played a single minute, just applied all the unlocked the perks... and you get all the barns maps from each level up too
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1237849876
And after that you simply go into the save folder and edit your name (in the Name.txt)

Anyway, it was just a thought to get more variations about how we can play... making a real use of those perks. I totally understand it would not please any "I want it all right now" type of player. So if it were ever to be taken as an idea, it would also need ofc a real sandbox option with all tools available.

I also like your ideas about the need to buy your upgrades instead of unlocking them btw.

If it was not mentioned, a Wall Clock would be great, like the one that they had in the CMS 2015 Game.

That's exactly what I was thinking

I'd like to have a more modern look with a diagnostic monitor or two, instead of a "bat cave"

having to buy decorations and upgrades would also give money more of a use. right now it is basicaly just your high score. there is nothing to realy save up for. like one of these bad boys http://www.rottlermfg.com/cylinder-head-resurfacing-machine.php
my dad has someting like that jut 30 years old and less fancy. witch got me thinking waht if the stuff you unlock via skill is just ols used stuff. but when you want the good stuff you have to buy it for lots of money.

Totally yep
Though honnestly, when playing without mods, the most you make out of a car is around 65k$ to max 100k$. Modded cars gives you much higher incomes depending on mods yoou use, from my understanding...

So if you have to buy upgrades, while they need to be at high cost, still has to be a decent cost... You'll always still be unbalanced and way too op while playing modded (one of the many reasons I almost never play modded, because most of the time it just bring the game out of balance at some point.)
