There is a built-in spawn chance that is different for each vehicle. So, you'll more likely find the older model cars in junkyard as opposed to newer model ones because their coded "chance" of spawning is lower. I suggest doing a search in this forum for; "Allowed Places" utility. It's a mod that makes adjusting your car config files super easy and you can set which vehicles you want to have show up in junkyard or anywhere else.
Keep in mind, some of the newest model or high value vehicles are set to not even spawn in the junkyard at all....some are even limited to only show up in "Salon." So, that mod can fix this for you.
I mention the GT20, because I just found one at a junkyard last night, almost completely stripped down to the bare frame, except for a totally-drained battery, the rear bumper and a few small parts of the engine. I'm going to have fun with that one, but the others I've found lately have just been the same ol' same ol'.
Oh, I did find a Roadrunner, which I had never heard of before playing this game. Kind of a meh car, but it was fun for a quick-and-easy rebuild. Didn't sell for much, but the pair of Porsches I sold a few days ago for half a million total more than made up for that.
They can be found, but RNG in this game is a stingy child with a bag of caramels that it simply WILL NOT share.
