You don't need to strip anything down, all you do is move the car to the paint shop when it unlocks and once inside there you can paint it any color you want

Yea it's lame that they don't have sand blasting in thet game like the cinematic shows. There's only a few differences so far with this game and CMS 2015. Honestly I think 2015 is better than the current release of CMS 2018

yeah sand blasting would be cool, and even the option to spray paint your car yourself somehow, it is a simulator at the end of the day, i wanna be able to do more things, rather than just go into the paint shop and paint your car in seconds.

Agreed that the paint shop in CMS15 was better and the paint jobs were more vivid and shinier too. In CMS18 I found that if you choose pearl (whats meant to be pearlescent but isnt) you dont end up with the odd matte panels left on car as you do when choosing metallic paint.

The matte is fixable. Simply select a different finish then go back to metallic. This works for me.

I'm a tight wad and dont like spending on paint jobs, as the value is never put back on the car. Your method is 2 grand! My method, with still nice finish, is just a grand...but thanks for the idea anyway, might be helpful to others reading this.

sandblasting (for removing rust ?) is actually the welder ...

Its actually how its done in real life! A welder just joins metals together. CMS18 is really Car Fixit Game 2018 and should not be Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 as the levels of simulation are limited. The game is fun, I play it, but its lame.

You don't have to PAINT the car, just select matt, then choose metallica before you PAINT. this will fix the odd matt panels.

This is 'Car Mechanic Simulator' - not 'Car Painting Simulator'.

Over many years, I've attended some courses to learn the basics of car finishing, and believe me - you wouldn't want to simulate the hours of tedious rubbing down and general preparation needed before the car even gets into the spray booth.

I agree that the finish options aren't great, for example when selecting pearl or chameleon, you need to be able to move around the car to see what the effect does properly. I've lost count of the disappointing paint jobs I've done as they look terrible in the workshop. GTA5 has a more effective painting system, maybe this will be improved once the features that aren't currently in the game are included, and the DEVS have time to tinker with style rather than function.

Never played GTA5 but I think it would go great with this game. Steal car, strip it down, alter VIN #, paint vehicle, sell vehicle.

you don't need to paint it to matt first, you just need to change the type to matt, and then change it back to metallic, and then paint the car ;)

Sorry, I didn't read your comment before I said that myself as well ;)
