Spray car with factory paint?

I've sprayed this car 3 times after fixing all issues listed. I even repaired it with the welder, and it won't show this as complete? I am running the beta, but I'm also new to spray jobs. Is it implying I should fix the rusty parts? Or is this a bug?

did you remove all the rusted panels eg: fenders hood etc if you didnt thats your problem and you have to buy new body panels from the shop

I have not. I figured the game would mark those as needing replaced on the order. Thanks, I'll try this out.

Are you certain this is typical? I've just gotten an order that only wanted me to replace body parts (list provided for me) and then paint it factory. After doing all that, it still will not accept the paint job as complete.

like I said, the beta coincided with me unlocking the paint shop for the first time, I wasn't sure if this was a CMS mechanic. Thanks for the correct answer.

Yep, no worries. I'm sure devs already know about it and we wont have this issue when 1.5.22 goes officially online.

And yes, its a bit strange that you can paint rosty/damaged body parts without the need of fixing them first.. It's one of those.. awkward features of the game.

Sometimes there's a bug. It tells you to re-paint into factory colour, but it really means existing colour.
Found out by mistake, re-painting the car 4 times in a row.
Decided to give it a go - it worked.
