Junkyard & Earn Money
Hi there!

I finally reached level 12 in my career. Now I have unlocked the junkyard. Now I want to start buying cars that are completely run down from the junkyard, then repairing them and finally selling them. I want to keep the procurement costs of the parts I need for the repair as low as possible in order to have a really big profit in the end! Now I need the professionals among you who already have a lot of experience and can give me tips. If I buy a car from the junkyard, how is it best to start repairing it? Should I first look at the junkyard if there are the necessary parts to buy them and then repair them at the table or does it make more sense in the long run and is it cheaper or more expensive to only buy new parts from the dealer? With level 12, do I even have the opportunity to sell cars anywhere? Because I noticed that I have not yet activated the auction house. What can you recommend me? Can you make really fat money in this way?

Completely restoring cars from junkyard is lot more profitable later when you have unlocked welder kit and interior detailing kit so you can repair the chassis and interior to 100%, there is quite a bit of money locked in there and in the bonus money you get from 100% restored parts, body parts, chassis and interior.
Meanwhile it`s probably better to hit barns and auctions for cars that are in better condition, you can get cars from there with 100% chassis and interior condition, not all of them though.
Auction house cars have always all the parts included, barn cars can miss some parts here and there but are mostly intact.
To get your level up pick up fast orders that ask simple quick jobs like gearbox, brake, exhaust jobs since they give pretty much same xp as more complex jobs.
Also dont forget to do one story order (the one you cant delete) each time you gain new level, there are 42 of them so they end before you get max level, they give pretty good xp and money.

Why should I execute a story sequence whenever I have reached a new level? So far I have played up normally. Besides, when I get cars from a barn, the price is also very expensive and I don't even know if I can still get any money out of it.

Each level you get one new story order provided you have done the previous one. Those are your more interesting jobs, repeat customers etc. and generally give more xp and money.
Early in the game you should focus more on orders to get your level to 30 for welder kit and interior detailing kit and once you pick up decent enough level of part repair skills you start to make more profit from repairing the parts instead of just replacing them.
You usually can make some profit from barn cars and junkyard cars early in level but it will be quite a bit smaller then later with unlocked repair skills and equipment.
Auction house is hit and miss, AI usually bids you up over the actual worth of the car and only sometimes stops the bidding below actual worth.

Profit of any vehicle you restore in the game is highly dependant on the mileage, 0-50000km, 50001-100000km, etc. See link for more info on the mileage - full restoration value...

Also to maximise profit you should use as many tuning parts on the car as you can. Looking for parts from the junkyard for the most part is a waste of time.

Generally speaking barn cars are some of the worst cars to restore for profit as they tend to have a higher mileage than junkyard or auction cars.

If you have the Porsche DLC pretty much any Porsche found at the junkyard are good for profit, also from the junk yard the best bet early on is Bolt Reptila R2 Supercharged (>200000km mileage).

Buying from auction is mostly dependant on what car you buy and at what mileage. For a relatively cheap profit maker early on from auction I bought Royal GTR; whereas I avoided practically all of the "ripoff" classic american muscle cars as they are not worth buying for profit at auction regardless of mileage (some of the real american classics are worth at lower mileage).

Additionally you should not put any part back on a car which is not 100% condition, this can affect resale value a lot (even 1 part at 99% has a noticeable impact). Being unable to repair frame and clean the interior until level 30 will impact your profit margins further.

The video shows the player bidding on a vehicle. Selling at the auction has been asked as a feature, but just doing it directly from your workshop is easy.
