cars disappear when they are in the parking garage

cars disappear from nothing when I am playing. I have done 15 jobs I want to repair a scrap car they are all gone at once

I'm getting cars going missing too, but not all at once. The order of the cars and where they get dropped can be weird - it has become precarious. When it happens and what car it happens to is frustrating. I've got a few hours in the game, but I have not had these issues until this new Xmas patch came out. Now it's just a mess and I've lost 100's of hours of work on my car collection. This is upsetting and I've lost faith in the game. Frequent game saves and additional backups of them is not a practical solution for this problem unfortunately.

I also had 2 cars go missing.

It happened when this game came out. It seems that there is a pretty constant chance of losing cars when an update comes out.

Thats because you most probably have steam cloud on. It was always the biggest issue of the game.

This guy leaps onto ideas way too quick and I'm not convinced. He's a fanboy trying to defend a game that does not require it. He thought it was a mac issue recently and he's still yet to reference the numerous threads where he read ONLY mac users suffered disappearing cars. He has also demonstrated he has no hesitation to lie. I am open to the possibility that this might be a Cloud issue though, but I'm not convinced yet.

And you are demonstrating that you are either on drugs or you need more specialized attention :) I am not a clairvoyant with a crystall ball and I cant immediately know the perfect answer for every problem in this game. Im player just like all of us here and I have to GUESS based on my experience with this game so far. But you wont understand this, you are just not capable ;) Cheers!

Its the patch. Not using Steam cloud. Not using a mac. Its when moving cars between the garage /parking garage. sold 20 cars, 40 disappeared. Never left the game so it is most defintly not the cloud. See my post in the 'Modded cars dissapearing' thread. In anycase, I wouldn't recomend playing until they fix the problem because you are gonna lose rides over it. If you still need to play, find your save folders and make your own back up files to replace them once the game screws them.

IM so pissed right now at this game ive lost over 12 cars and im frustrated and cant send cars to parking without losing them. My inventory of rebuilt cars is disappearing everytime i play game since the latest dodge expansion. This sucks ive got over 1000 hours playing game and collecting lowest number cars i could. Can i roll back game to last week or two weeks ago and get them all back. Is there going to be something done to stop this from happening or is it just going to be a surprises every day i wish to play to which if any cars r in my inventory

I am a fan of this game too. I got this game the first week it came out. I am really frustrated, in part, due to me forgetting to backup my save when this patch comes out. I have tried turning of steam cloud save before without success.

It seems to be a common issue with cars getting lost after each patch where the garage is touched. After a 1.5 years, it is getting really old having to worry about losing what I have worked on.

It's clear there, that Steam Cloud is not a factor with disappearing cars (details are discussed after page 2 or so). It would be nice to have a magic solution, but we're just screwed. The real world practicality of playing this game with frequent auto-saves and cars disappearing, means backups of your backups will not help much. With an ever increasing garage to keep track of, where a player finds out after the fact that something's gone missing, it's just not worth it. Also, this developer has earnt a reputation for this issue and even if they fix it this time that worry will always be there now.

I've had 15 go missing now so I'm going to emtey my parking garage and only buy restor projects that I can finish and sell that day from now on its not worth using the garage if cars that were restored and cars that werent restored vanish both its a waste of funds in the game I'm not going to keep speding money on cars the gme takes away also for the record this issue didnt occour for me untill i subscribed to the mods something for the designers to look into
