Easier way to buy new needed parts
I got the game around the time it was released, which still had many bugs, but it was still interesting, and enjoyable. But what got me to quit, is the fact I can't buy part so easy. I finally got back to it the other day, to see the improvements, and it's definitely less bugs, but the shopping experience is still painfully the same.

The game should have like a cart next to each part that needed to be replaced (that will add items to the shopping list).

And, when in the shopping list, there should be an option to buy all added parts.

So, technically shopping list should be re-programmed to shopping cart.

Yes its a mechanic simulator, but after fixing so many cars, it become tedious, and painful, and it gets boring.

Ive only found usng the padt list to be easiest solution, i agree though the part list should have a buy or buy all.

Im sorrry but I respectfully disagree with the OP. This is a simulation game. I think it is perfect just the way it is now. I think the OP wants to completely restore a car in 5 minutes. That is so far from realistic it is laughable. Go to the Junkyard and stock up on parts, repair the stuff and store it in your Warehouse. My Warehouse is stocked up pretty good so I may only have to buy maybe 10-15% of the parts I need for a restore. Purchasing new parts the current way is no big deal.

After playing this for ages I just look at the suspension and go yup! I go straight to the suspension icon in parts and know what I need straight up.. memory is key in this game

I think a bit part of that, possibly in expert mode, would also be making it so parts don't appear in your pocket the second you order them. If the game had days and parts arrived at the start of every day (Think how PC Building simulator works if you've played that) it'd make you be a lot more clever in how you order.

Restoring a car in five minutes may be laughable, but ordering a bunch of parts online in five minutes is pure reality.

Buying push rods and spark plugs and other small parts individually is not realistic either.

Even being able to type in the number you want to buy would be a step in the right direction. Buying multiples of anything requires you to click to increase the order. Want to by 8 spark plugs thats 7 clicks, want to buy 20 rubber bushings well there is 19 clicks.

I would love some kind of proper shopping list that would allow me to find out which parts I needed and build the list, not to allow me to restore cars quicker but just to add to the experiance. Say you wanted to build an engine from scratch why not set up a buy list (even if you had to build it yourself) then buy all the parts you need in one order.

I'd take it a step further: have a random chance for parts to be in or out of stock day by day. Parts in stock locally could be ordered for same day delivery. Parts in stock at the regional warehouse could be delivered next day. And parts that are out of stock would require a few days to arrive.

I would also agree though that the in game shopping experience does need some work and is a bit unwieldy.

But yet you repair parts with a single click of a button? Where simulation in that?

The shopping portion in the game, is unbalanced, compared to the rest of the actions within the game.

It would be a nice addition to save and rename a shopping list with the most wanted parts for each engine (i.e. the ones being not repairable). Just like we can do with the different warehouses....

That would be a great timesaver. If you restore a car from the junkyard, mainly 50% of the time fixing it is used by searching in the online shop for parts. Even as a veteran who has almost every needed part in his memory and shopping the items in a row....

I found this quick shop mod, it morks very well. It saved my life on the game. https://www.nexusmods.com/carmechanicsimulator2018/mods/3?tab=description

I think you guys are going about this the wrong way... As soon as I had enough money, which is pretty quickly, I went to the shop and stocked up on parts I knew I would need, buy 20 spark plugs, buy 20 rubber bushings, buy a couple of V8 gearboxes, etc...then when you are fixing and notice you're getting short on something add it to the shopping list and go shopping after you've finished fixing the car you're working on. Just don't go outside your garage in between, you'll lose your shopping list! That is a bug that definitely needs working.

BTW you can hold down D to buy multiples of items and to move along your parts when fixing ;)
