Buying replacement parts?
So I get it. You take off the old part, buy the exact new part from the computer, and install the new part. The issue I'm having is figuring out what parts I need to buy. It's very tedious running back and forth to the car to get that exact right part 20 times. What am I missing?

There is a parts list. Before you remove a part from the car, right-click on the part, select Parts Notes, then select Add to List. Do this for all the parts you wish to replace. Then when you're ordering parts on the computer, there is an orange tab in the upper right corner of your screen labelled"Shopping List". Click on that and the list of parts you selected appears for you to consult as you buy.

If I'm restoring a car from A-Z though what I just do instead is 1st, before I start, sell or move to warehouse any parts that were in my inventory, so that the only ones I will then see in the inventory are the ones I'm going to remove from the project car. Strip the whole car, then go to the repair table (if unlocked) and repair whatever can be repaired. Then go to the computer... but before accessing it, open the inventory and sort all parts by name (so that they'll be in the same order as in the computer, and also so you quickly see how many of each you need to buy). Then, switching back and forth between the inventory and the computer, and memorizing the name and quantity of say 3-4 part types I need at a time, I can buy every part I'll need for the whole restoration in a couple of minutes. It goes quickest if you do it category by category (ie: engine, suspension, exhaust, etc.). For a full restore I think this method is quicker than the shopping list (and you exercise your memory just a little along the way).

I use the part list and work on the car in sections if you have multiple areas like brakes, suspension, and engine.
