Its just a game, don't expect total realism go buy a real car for that.

The cars do look good in game and there are loads of mods to add into the game. Im not gonna sell you the game but its a game i like going back to do a build every now and then.
I agree the game is a bit grindy at the start, its not till you get to 35th the game really becomes good, its missing alot of parts and the cars spin off the track in most cases.
On the good side they do update and add more parts to the list and fix certian bugs but keep the most annoying for some reason. My biggest turn off about this game is the wheel spin, it just makes driving the cars useless.
Here is a mechanic game. There is no such thing as a training simulator for auto mechanics, that is more of a hands on thing. But you will get a understanding of what the parts are, how to find the problem and fix it, and may learn a few things about cars, since the parts are modeled based on the real thing. And use problems that happen for real. Can do many things in the game.
I recomend it...
Speaking as a dedicated PC gamer who really doesn't like controllers, I don't see it. Stripping cars and putting them back together with a mouse seems perfectly natural. Plus, it was released on PC first, wasn't it?
What feels console-ish to you?
