OK I got it to work, do this...
Go to this web site and convert your sound files and take the track number off the name of the track after converting it. https://audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-ogg
Now open your game folders path: Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > common > Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 > cms2018_data >StreamingAssets > Music. Inside this folder you will see Folders labled Music0 through Music7 and one folder names User. Simple convert your music files to .ogg and remove the track number off evey file so it just has the name of the music track. Then simply copy your convered sound files into the User folder and use the last station on the radio and listen to your own music. I just did it and it works, you can put endless sound files in there and listen to your own stuff. Enjoy :)
It's not difficult. Many online and download for free converters out there. Start one of them, add your MP3's or WAV files, get OGG files. There's ones for MP4s and other file types as well...
Add those OGGs to your "user" music channel folder (yes, you just use the folder for the user channel on the radio in the shop) and you're done.
Start the game, tune the radio to the user channel (it's the last one) and your songs will play.
I've got a couple hours of loop in there with all sorts of mish mash. Only thing I miss is volume knob so I can turn it up when I want to scream a little.
Cheers..!
Thanks Doc, I did figure out how to make it work but didn't play with the User folder, going to move my files to the user folder and see if another channel appears.
OK update Doc is correct, instead of messing with the default music folders just add your own converted sound files to the User folder and select the last channel on the radio, this works also. Thaks again Doc, I edited the posting above to reflect the correct procedure.
