Expert Mode is Here !!!!
Can't say I'm enjoying expert mode very much. Don't get me wrong I like a little challenge and a more real simulation of repairing autos. However when there are parts that literally float in the air with nothing attached to them then the reality is just not there. Removing a fuel filter from floating space and then having no idea in the empty space where it goes is ridiculous. Needs a hose sticking out or fuel line or something so I know where to hold down my mouse button to start the install. Same with the exhaust system there is no holding clamp or mounting bracket to know where the exhaust goes. You also removed the part names in the check list to know what is needing replacement why was that removed? In the real world I would have an item list of parts I pulled and ones that are needing to be replaced.
On the Good side the missing highlighted bolts are good. Getting used to where to click to mount a part is gonna require some getting used too. I don't recommend expert mode from the very start play the normal mode first and then up your game challenge with expert.

Well it isn't really much of a Expert Mode really. I am looking at a story line car, I can see it already list the amout of parts that need to be change, so I already know ahead of time I need to replace xnumber of parts, so for me I am already ahead in it....
lol, I can do that in any mode....

As for the story line car, the story line cars requier 100% condition parts anyway, and if you take anything off that is less, you will end up haveing to replace it anyway. So really, not much differnt than Normal mod..

Annoyingly, cms 2015 expert mode is much better than what we have here, the ghosting is kinda necessary since many parts just floats in space and are not connected to anything (also, clips As are just too painfull to assemble without ghosting). It seens cms 2018 expert mode was made in a rush, simply removing some feedback features to force dificulty, wich is okay in somecases, but right now its too punishing, theres no feedback whatsoever if i'm holding the button in the right place since there is no ghost part to inform where i can add something, neither a part highlight to indicate i'm hovering my cursor in the correct place =c
I tried it for some minutes, but the "bad design" vibe i got from lack of usefull feedback made me give up, and this is really unfortunate, because i trully enjoyed cms 2015 hardcore mode.
I hope they improve it with usefull feedback somehow ( in my opnion, if they mimic cms2015 hardcore mode is a huge improvement already), right now its not too punishing to be unplayable, but too much be fun, at least for me =c
