Just do quick-to-do jobs like exhaust or gearbox, which you can finish quickly and move on to the next job.
True, more complex jobs award more xp but take way longer to do and won't likely progress you any faster. Much less boring though, just doing quick jobs can be grindy.
As the guys said above - do as much small jobs as fast as possible. Its more efficient than doing big jobs (more XP per minute) and parts are easy to find in shop (especially good for new players). Brakes, exhausts, paint jobs and the best ones - ofc the gearboxes. And you will get more crates on top of that.
