Cars in Barns/The Junkyard

It seems there's no real... "Consistency" or even true "randomness" on how cars spawn in the junkyard or barns. As I try and "collect" the cars it seems there's certain ones that never seem to appear in the "junk" places, most of the time even all of the locations for cars in the junkyard aren't even utilized.

Several trips to the junkyard and I swear every time I go there I see one of those Trans-Am or Camaro vehicles, but have never seen the later-model Mustang-looking car.

Plenty of '50s Bel-Airs and Military Willys Jeeps, but damed if I've ever seen the pick-ups.

Is there anyway to change or "force" these things to happen more often? I could go to the auctions to get these cars but usually they go very high, higher than even their "estimated worth" and usually they're in too good of shape to make repairing them truly enjoyable.

Some cars do not spawn in the junkyards or barns. You have to get at auction or new.

I got the Suka moon at the junkyard and barn yard sale. I try to grab these cars the most, they bring in the most income on re-sale..

My personal cars I got at the junkyard..
Both 80's impala looking ones (one has a hopped up straight 6 the other a V-8), 60's looking Impala (my deby car), Trans Am looking one, My willys jeep (hopped up 4 banger), Corvett looking one (sold it, not a corvett fan)..

My Personal cars from Barnyard was the 57.. Turned it into a drag car..

My personal car from the Auction was the newer Mustange looking car, Specter I think it is called. Built two differnt set up engines for this.

New car was the Jeep, sold it after I got it.

What fun would it be if I got all my cars at just a junkyard or barn yard. At a couple of mill I need to spend that, know what I am saying?

Oh yeah, found the Smith 500 in the junkyard many of times..

I dunno, I just find it more "fun" to fix up the junk cars than to buy the ones at auction that are mostly good shape, plus the auction system for me is just tedious with having to keep upping the bids and the price of the car skyrocketing past it's "value" per the XP reward you get.

But, if some cars are only available via the auction, guess I'll have to go that route for some of them. I've collected 40 of the some 60 cars available to me. (Base Game+Expansions+a few user-created mods.)

Oh I compleatly understand that, I do it a lot with cars I wouldn't keep. Just I was pointing out it dose change. Just I did notice for better vehicles you would have to get them at the auction. So not all cars are in the yards.

I kept looking and looking for that Spectre and all I found was the fast back. So I waited till I could get it from the auction. It was the only way. Because it was for me, I wasn't worried.

But a lot of the lower cars can be found at the yards. But I notice the Sakra moon seems to bank the best for the lower car group..

Oh yeah, I have one of em DLC cars, charger I think, I found them in the yards too.. just saying..

Go to the cars folder.
Mine is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets\Cars
Find the car you want to spawn in the Junkyard and open it.
Look for the file 'config'
Open with wordpad (It's easier to edit) and in the list of allowed places is where that car will spawn.
The options are Salon Junkyard Shed Auction.
If the Junkyard isn't there just add it making sure to include a comma.
The line should look like this. allowedPlaces=Order.9,Salon,Shed,Junkyard,Auction
