Have you limited your FPS through VSync ? Have you decreased your resolution ?

I've got the same issue with CMS 2018:
. Fallout4 @ 1920*1080, cucumber, 50 FPS.
. MassEffect 2 & 3, 1920*1080, medium heat, 60 FPS.
. CMS2018 @ 1920*1080, powersupply shutdown.
. CMS2018 @ 1680*1050, Helicarrier taking off, 60 FPS.

Yeah CMS is the only game I need to open my case due to overheating. Dont know what exactly shuts it down (cpu & gpu temps are within safe values), but it may be the psu then. I play it FHD with fps limiter, but it doesnt even reach 60 most of the time (i5 750/R9 280).

Guys, i suggest you purchase a better cooler. Stock coolers are garbage!
I've never in over 25+ years put on a stock cooler from AMD or Intel with a retail CPU purchase.

https://www.arctic.ac/uk_en/products/cooling/cpu.html

Putting a quality cooler on allows a longer CPU life and even OC'ing and temps that barely move in gaming.

example for an socket LGA1155 https://www.arctic.ac/uk_en/freezer-13-co.html -mine with an I5-3570k -which i believe your i5-750 is

I agree, I have a better one, but still it looks like the psu sucks too much hot air coming from it. I think I will try one of those small watercooling units, the radiator is mounted on the back of the case and all heat from cpu goes outside, and doesnt mix inside.

This is the case i've used for eons! It has two large ballraced (still going strong after about 12-15 years) fans front and extractor rear (120x120x25 mm, 1400rpm, 21dBA (intake)
Blue LED fan, 120x120x25 mm, 1400rpm, 21dBA (exhaust)). It's also got a side mesh (removable for easy access) panel which allows no heat build-up internally. I've got a EVGA GTX SC 1060 6GB -which was shorter than the GTX 660TI -nearly a foot long 25cm or so. It also easily takes the large coolers for CPU's

It also takes a liquid cooling system

Hi,

thanks for the tips, but it can't be that a game roast the cpu and it's no Cooler Problem. No other game will do that.As example Rebirth VR, The Forest VR, Satisfactory and many other games that need much more grafic power. BTW last named games my CPU cooler will run with medium rpm. I guess CMS will use the gpu from the cpu only and not the powerfull GTX 1060 gpu's. That is the only thing that can it be.

Anyway. Thanks again and have a nice day.

I have a fx6300 at 4ghz. 1060 3gb, 9gb of ram(two fours and a random 1gb stick). I play on high/ultra settings. Res is 1080p, No motion blur, Vsync off. texures at 2048x2048. 50~ fps.

CPU runs at around 45-50C in CMS18 but ive seen it spike to almost 60C. GPU is in the mid to high 70C's. Sometimes up to the mid 80C's.

I just have a basic evo 212 cooler. Way better then stock. At idle or just browsing the web, its around 10-15C, which is under room temp. And id recommend never buying a mini GPU with a single fan. This 1060 3gb has worse heating problems then my old amd r9270. Also my evo 212 out performs my friends h60 water cooler which really surprised me

Well it does run from the GPU. My GTX SC 1060 6GB fan runs very fast on all settings maxed out. Have you tried running in Exclusive fullscreen mode and vice versa?

I have no problems with overheating.

Here is my material:

GTX 1060 6GB
I7 7700 3.6
16 G of rams
coolerwater Corsair

GPU heat: 71 Celsius
CPU heat: 49 Celsius

I may be lucky but I almost never have problems overheating in my games.

@zoo,

my GTX DUAL GTX 1060 6GB the two fans working with lowest rpm. Latest driver and checked.
OK the card is optimized for VR. My latest games VR Games with oculus rift and working fine.

intressting.....

I have...

-AMD Phenom II x4 965 CPU at 3.40 Ghz

-16gigs RAM

-AMD Radeon R7 200 VisionTek Series of 2gigs video memory..

And I been doing fine without over heating or all these other issues problems everyone has been complaining about with their high end computers. My own case only uses one fan, and the CPU has it's own one fan and the graphics card only uses one fan in a sealed desktop case.. Why is this?

Dose you case need to be serviced from dust?

Are you using windows 10? I am asking this because even tho I am on WIN7, I have WIN10 on the other hard drive. I had a issue with WIN10 updating my graphics card with updated drivers. Even tho the card is a AMD, but it is a VisionTek version, and supplamental AMD drivers that are not VisionTek drivers could cause damage. When it updated, I did have a over heating issue in which all the cooling fans was screaming all the time on any game. This happen until a set WIN10 update to stop updating the hardware drivers with it, and reinstalled the Original drivers from downloading them from VisionTek. And the problem stopped.

I am just throwing ideas out there, because my system is less than any of you guys, and I am not having this problem.. The only problem I had was the lagging which was real bad in the parking lot in which is full of my personal cars and graphics glitch. And since the update, the game has played in real time and I had no graphics glitching..

On a system that is way less than anyone here..
Just saying..

OBTW, I have no issues running Fall Out 4 with over 1000 hours on it or Mad Max either.. Just throwing that out there...

Or, and " I am just throwing out ideas here ", your system is so " less than anyone here ", that your settings are also " less than anyone here ", hence your system is actually completely avoiding our issues, like, by a mile.

My computer never struggled in a full parking lot ...
Just saying ...

Actully, being less has no bearing on anything at all here, but a excuse to justify the failure in a high end system that is suppose to be top dog... Considering a high end system has all these fancy multi cooling fans, and such that go into it, should have no issue running such a simple game as this.. And yet my simple low computer as you call it, runs the game just fine. My setting are not set so low that I do not have detail or proper color much less a loss in reflection. But Im not going to over clock my system and burn it up because I want to sit and cry over fps. As long as the game is running in real time and not lagging. That has always been good enough for me. No matter what game I am playing. Fps is over rated really.

I seen people on twitch cry like little babies over fps all the while the game is running in real time..

Maybe you aught to re-evaluate the settings your using, apperently your system is not all that after all...

That sure is a lot of being defensive of how crap your computer is.

I'll get problems with overheating with long gameplay sessions during a heatwave. Then again that's not exactly fair for most computers to deal with
