If not, try that first.
Then modded car ? or vanilla car ?
Besides cars, do you have other active mods ?
It seems it's a pretty regular issue on your side.
If you were using mods, I would start a brand new game AFTER having unsubbed to ALL the mods, play a few hours using either a cheat engine or those solutions

To have a decent level and money
Then buy some cars, while totally vanilla, and see how the game acts... if you still have the issue vanilla only, then I'm of no more help... I have no issues with parking, as stated on the other post about same issue.
Also make sure your PC is at or above minimum requirements.
because with all those reports about parking issues, I have yet to see someone posting his PC specs.
Even with a mid Tier gaming PC, it takes some time to load a garage level, and again that totally vanilla...
I'll give your suggestions a shot. I'm using several of the workshop cars but I wasn't the first time it happened, as the save I ended up deleting (to fix the garage issue) was before the workshop support was added. The previous save didn't have any modded cars.
As for specs, I should be just fine but here they are to satisfy any curiosity:
AMD FX-8350 (8-core, 4 GHz, stock clock speed)
16 GB DDR3
Radeon R9 290
SSD
The game runs just fine and all other functionality works as expected. I simply can't access the garage. It's rather odd.

Edited to add: I subscribed to the workshop cars as soon as I started a new game and made it to level 12 before having any issues. I've purchased, restored, and sold a handful of workshop cars up to this point without any issues.
At a point early game it was due to a mayen car (the M6 I think). Maybe one single mod peeps really struggle to pinpoint...
I also have seen one comment lately about someone who indeed gave rid of any M6 (or whatever the Mayen car it was) and could access garage again, even though the issue has been fixed on devs side.
Also maybe look into that direction of the max 50 mods limit on this game

Maybe you added a bit too many afterward
Maybe so. I wasn't aware there was a limit so I'm glad you mentioned it. I subscribed to 33 different cars. I'll try to prune that down a little and see what happens (including removing the car that I have in the garage right now).
Whatever you want to do with the game, when there are known issues of peeps loosing their progresses, there are many many post that mentions 2 things.
Turn off the steam cloud for this game (which I did)
Make personal backup saves from known working saves.
Better always safer than sorry.
Anyway, whatever you play, have a nice early 2018 gaming
