Interior question: Bolt Cape bench seats

Hi guys, been getting deep into this game the last week since I bought it. (Good job to the devs on putting the game into a good state and being honest about it btw. Your good attitude towards the release state and the work you put in got a sale out of me. Kudos. :) )

Anyway, onto my question. I recently bought a Bolt Cape out of a barn now I have enough money to sink into restoring it bit at a time before selling it and when I came to do interior stuff I noticed it was missing the rear bench seat. So ok I go buy it and notice there is also a front bench seat for the bolt cape too. So I buy that thinking to replace the two single seats and get that old feel for the car while I am at it. But the front bench will not go into the car, only the rear bench.

So my question is, what is the front bench for? Is this a bug still to be worked out, or an intended feature still not yet working?

A different variant of the cape planned just not added yet maybe? I haven't seen a base game car use that bench seat

Thanks for the reply, seems like it is meant to work but doesn't according to the conversation in the other thread. Thanks for the tip on how to change it. I really hope this gets fixed though, and more customisation is built into the base game overall. Guess we will see what the tuning update brings.

I don't know what supposedly didn't work four years ago, but a bench can be installed now!

Yes, you still can't switch benches for bucket seats on the fly, that's just not how the game works. But if you open the folder

 ... \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets\Cars\BoltCape

and open the file
config.txt
or config1.txt for F-Mill or config2.txt for Supercharged
and change the chapter

Just an fyi...... the devs made the front bench seats thinking they might make variations of the cars to use them......which you can do in Car Editor yourself. They just never went that far with it. But, they are also for modder's to use in their cars if they want. So, they do have a purpose......just didn't get used much by the devs.
