It is a good game to have especially if you liked either of the previous versions or if you just have an intesrest in mechanics/cars.
Tons of threads on stuff still missing do not make me want to rebuy it, therefore the bad review stays.
I can find fault in every game that I have played - doesn't matter the size or price of the game, there will always be some things just like issues in modern movies where there are things that are not right or in shot that should be.
Some grips that folk have include no radiator hoses, no wiring harness and no automatic gearboxes, lack of windscreen washer fluid, no brake fluid or brake lines. There is no performance brakes, no performance suspension upgrades..........
There is time for all this and more to come to the game - it just isn't all in game right now. The latest priority for the development team is porting this game for console and Mac users.
The Plymouth DLC is due on 11th December, but there are already over 100 vehicles in game, about half of that number are in the official game or the two existing car DLC packs. There are plenty of mod vehicles now available in the workshop which is well worth exploring.
game will only get better with time
This is a small developer thats known for enhancing the product overtime with more R&D and even tho it has issues and isn't perfect i still find the game highly playable with good replay value if your into your cars.
There are loads of car games on the internet but not many offer the syle of gameplay this one does, while yes it could use more detail im sure the developer will add what they can with the engine and man power that they have to continue developing the game. The game isn't asking for big bucks and offers an experience of building model cars like you did when you were a kid without the messy glue and paint.
It needs a storyline Cannonball race where you fix the car as you race over long distance maps. Someone might create a mod for storylines since the game is hooked upto the workshop now. I'd love an option to race my builds multiplayer, you could have all kinda of class races from certian condition builds to maxium weight ratios.
A junker race for cars under %40 and so forth, prestege car races for classic cars, free for all races where you enter any build from anytime period with no restrictions.
Even if these additions are single player they would make the game a bit more exciting, it would be nice to sit the car in a trophy showroom that you could display online like a badge of honor.
But what mist Car guys want to see are things like "writing" the Main Chip of the Car, connecting all the Interior windshield washer etc. With cables, which isn't in the Game and since this game is mostly made for Car Guys that's the reason for the Negative Reviews. Just my thaughts but I'm missing it aswell :(
But you *have it* in your account
