Sandbox Mode
I think that Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 should have Sandbox mode just like 2015 did. It would be a lot easier like that.

Sandbox mode in 2015 was added as an end of life feature when the developer was about to move on to the next game. With the tools available it is 100% unnecessary as anyone can edit a profile with money and levels.

They could create a sandbox mode by implement NRay's "repair anything" mod into the game along with infinite money and all levels.

Agreed , i hate this whole unlock the entire garage at lvl 30 nonsense. Just let me play the game i want how i want to play it. Iv already accpeted the fact game companys are going to nickle & dime us for micro transactions and constant DLC but at least give me the right to play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game how i want without having to use cheats

but sandbox is cheating. you are getting everything without playing the game properly.

humor me. how is having a sandbox mode any different than editing a profile? You are getting end game content without playing the game. Guess what? That is the same as cheating.

Like I stated there is a tool in the mod section that lets you set level and money. Sandbox is not necessary. There are more important things for the devs to be working on like missing content and quality of life stuff for the people who bought the game to play it as it was designed.

I lack the understanding of whats so hard about this game. 13-15 hours to get to the end of the game isn't much. I don't understand why people buy simulators and then complain about playing them.

How is it cheating? We paid the same for the game yes? Now it is MY game, I will play it how I like, there is NO competition. Using what the devs provided as tools, is NOT cheating. I play this game like a giant muscle car sandbox, I learned the editor and how to manipulate the game so I NEVER have do a "Job" again. People all pay for the game, they can play how they please. Quit calling us cheaters, we are cheating no one. I am having a blast building cars from the ground up in editor, making them go as fast as poss around the track, rinse repeat. You think the devs give a rats azz how I play the game, I bought it ,and all the DLC, I think they care not.

For those who wish to use the game how they want, without grinding. Start a new profile, and name it cms2018promo. Start the game, you will have enough points to unlock garage and everything, and 500k in cash. Now if you wish, save game, exit, and go to your save game folder and edit the name.txt file in the profile folder to whatever name you want to use. Then I suggest searching forums for the Guide on using the Game Editor that comes with the game..

Its technically cheating in a game sense but not cheating as your playing a singleplayer game that does not take advantage of other players in the way most cheats do in multiplayer.
So i wouldn't really class it as cheating if thats more the way you enjoy the game, i like the grind to get my needed satisfaction when i build cars but others just enjoy the building without the grind, as for acheivements they come when they come i don't play for those silly things as half of them don't work anyway, well they never used too its gotten a little better since they first introduced them.

It cannot be technically cheating either, the devs released the tool for all, it comes with the game, and it is all you need to accomplish anything in the game you desire. I don't give a rats azz about steam achievements. Bottom line, if the devs include it, your meant to be able to use it, hence, NO cheating. I have been playing racing games for decades, started with MCO, was part of project cars 1 backers, and I race/ed and won a title in the C6 Vette series in Iracing. I know what cheating is, and I have never done it..

Cheating..? Wha.....?

If I play as a mechanic, *maybe*...

But if I play as a collector..? Hotplace no.

I just want to redo cars. Don't care if I ever touch a bolt. I want to swap rims. Do some paint. Some graphics (if we ever get those). I might do an engine swap or add a turbo/SC. (if we ever get to do that)

It's not cheating. It's *options*. To for play the game the way you like. Maybe we should just do more of that. More playing and less worrying about Larry over there "cheating" his way to a nice 57 wannbe Chevy cuz that's how he rolls.

Cheers..!

(edit: I play as a Mechanic, just playing the Collector devil's advocate)

You talking about the 2015 version or.... CMS 2018? Cuz in 2018 version, you click on the ladder by the wall to customize your shop. You should have leveled your character though and your shop I think... idk.. cuz I didn't even try till after I was already leveled up.

For everyone else--Best suggestion I read here was;
download / install the mod allowing you to select what level and amount of moolah you want.

And, yeah... it's only cheating in the sense that you didn't work your way up the chain as the game was originally designed but, it doesn't matter cuz it's your game to play the way you want.
