Go to ...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Car Mechanic Simulator 2018\cms2018_Data\StreamingAssets\Localizations and open your preferd language in notepad+ or smiliar and have fun ;)

I can see a big reason in a translated variation of the game as to why change names.
In french I see quite few issues, but as I also can deal with english I can find all without problem.

But a french speaking only person could have some hard time finding the license plates, as it is labbeled in english. And the french word is different enough to prevent finding them if you stockpiled them in the middle of tons of old parts and want to do a search ;-)

Also a lot of parts have still english names, while other from same kind are labelled in french, like some exhaust manifolds (labelled exactly like that in the french version) etc.

You've all missed the fact that parts are called different things in America, Canada, and the UK. Hood is called a bonnet, trunk is called a boot over here in the UK, etc. Even things like oil pans are referred to as oil/engine sump over here. Petrol tank, tyre rather than tire, there are loads of examples. The game should have shipped with this localisation in mind, so I hope 2021 has the right idea.
