Glad to see I'm not the only one >~_^< I'll work on typing everything out nice and neat (it's hand-scribbled at the moment) so I can post what I have to far soon!
found it.

Oh! Well now, that'll save me a whole lot of trouble, won't it? >~_^< I'll still keep my list for the mod cars though, and several random colors from the same paint manufacturer for variety, but thank you anyway >^_^<
When I do an editor mod I always hard code the colors I want.
The factory colors I am referring to are the actual colors the Dodge and Mazda factories painted their cars. They would show up as the "current color" on the status screen. For example, if you buy a Challenger at the Junkyard it will be painted in an authentic Dodge color.
I am not referring to the "factory color" on the status screen. I have no idea where those are generated.
I am, as a matter of fact, still working on it! I added 1959-'65 VW colors, looked up similar era British Leyland/BMC colors, and am looking for Oldsmobile Cutlass/442 colors currently, as well as some Mercedes and Bronco colors >~_^<
Just make a copy of one of the liveries, open it up in gimp or photoshop, fill the whole thing with the factory color (you can set the color by the hex value, which can usually be found online), and save the copy of the livery as the name of the color.
May I ask where you are getting your paint codes?
You may, and I will even answer >~_^< I find original dealership paint chip charts online from the proper time period, eyedrop the color samples, then write down the HSB values.
i will admit that in some cases that's not very accurate, depending on whether the chip chart I find is faded or otherwise discolored (as I noticed, for instance, with my favorite VW color Gulf Blue which came out quite a bit darker than it should be)
