Drifting and sliding!
It has to be a bug, when I tune a car it's completely undrivable on race track, it drifts and slides way too much, is it because i have too much HP or it's a bug?

too much power on rwd vehicles
Doc Savage Nov 25, 2017 @ 2:33am
No, high power is fine. It's not having suspension upgrades or systems to handle said power and truly fecal matter controls to actually try and drive with. If you're smart, you build a car and beef what you have to to help it handle higher power output.

On the control side, the wheels on the car turn/pivot too fast and at a constant speed. That's fine for just driving along. Look a race driver sawing on the wheel to be on the edge of control vs what happens to the wheels turning in the game. The controls are junk, they don't allow you to make the corrections needed to handle high HP to the ground.

And that doesn't begin to address the tires...

By upgrades you mean quality parts from the crates?

And I thought different tires had no effect in this game if i'm not mistaken?
Doc Savage Nov 25, 2017 @ 3:04am
No, I mean actual suspension systems designed for the sole purpose of handling. I mean upgraded, beefed up components, better bushings, heavier sway bars etc etc etc.

The Cases/Crates are just a value added loot system tacked on to the game. They are not the same as "performance" parts, more just better examples of existing parts that give your car a "boost" to make you think you got something special.

The tires... Meh. The controls make it difficult to use any added anything to me.

Throw a 4x4 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on every high hp car, and the fun begins. I agree, controls are rubbish, its all or nuthing on the steering, have to tap very lightly on game pad, I cannot play this game with my wheel, game dont see it at all. Goin down the straight on the race track is a whole game in itself, insane they provide such horrible controls, at least give us a decent arcade feel. How hard can it be to implement? It would make the game 10x more fun, add a few more tracks also, longer. I'll gladly pay dlc price for this, comon devs..

I don't understand at all, the parts of each car are pre-scripted, you can't choose to install a different part.

Well, they have tuning parts for engines, but not sure about suspension. Meaning, you can actually use a different part than is originally scripted, just a "better" version of the same.

As for suspension, you can definitely change to different tire types...but that doesn't help you as much as it might in reality.

Yeah I have all parts possible from the power boost shop.

I have vintage tires could it be the reason?
Limmin Nov 25, 2017 @ 9:37am
Yes, the tires should have something to do with it. Are these "vintage racing tires" or just regular street tires?

Learn to use the built in game editor provided by Red Dot themselves. You can make any car into anything you want, using any parts available in the game. Of course you can't add performance parts in editor, but you can do everything else, including adding your fav rims and the tires of choice to the base car. It really is a splendid tool they gave us.

Ya it is. One of the game's many positives... Having my BB 6 PAK RX-3 show up in the Junkyard was really fun. Car won't drive worth a Beaver Construction, but it does donuts like nobody's business. ?B)

Slap a 4x4 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in it and give it a go. My vette with 800hp wouldnt do anything, I slapped 4x4 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in and updated suspension, its actually quite fun on racetrack now. If it weren't for the wank controls I could run sub 40's. Then again, wouldn't need AWD if we had decent controls.

So I had this problem too with my dodge charger with every possible tuning part .. I tried this and this and this and I ended up using Slicks and it worked fine :)

TLDR, the driving physics are crap, not fixable by anything sensible (make the car 4wd and stick stupid wide wheels on it is not a "solution")
