Car spawn locations

This is more of a quest than anything but why is it the barns (shed in the configs) pulling the spawn data from the junkyard table. What I mean is I personally change it so all of the cars spawn in the junkyard (because lets face it any car could end up in the junkyard) and I'm seeing everything show up in barns as well as the junkyard. Is this broken code? At one time I was able to edit the junkyard spawns without messing with barns but it seems broken now.

How do you spawn cars in yunkyard? Kind of getting tired of the same vehicles there:/

Each car has this line in the config

allowedPlaces=Order.9,Shed,Junkyard,Auction

all you have to do is add the locations you want them to spawn in that line.

Shed,Junkyard,Auction,Salon are the available locations. Be aware like I said above adding junkyard to the list also adds it to barns.

What if on both config and config1 notes, contains the allowedPlaces=etc. do we change both? or just one?

The different config files are for different versions of the same car. So yes, if you want that particular version to spawn in, say, the junkyard, you have to change the corrosponding config file.

Are you saying it seems broken now as of these latest updates? Cuz, before those, I had set all vehicles to spawn in junkyard but still only finding the same old vehicles in barns. I then had to add barn(shed) locations to the rest of vehicles also cuz I was tired of finding same ol junk in sheds/barns.

i don't know about that, but if you want a specific car version to be able to spawn in a barn the "allowedPlaces=" line should absolutely contain the tag "Shed"!

The OP understands that but, they seem to think by adding in "Junkyard" to the allowedPlaces= that it's allowing them into the Barn(Shed) finds as well. At least that's what I got from their post.

Yeah, i got that, but the OP is almost three years old. Maybe the issue was fixed a long time ago, if there even was an issue to begin with. I just replied to the question from Kyrinx7, which has really nothing to do with the original issue raised in this thread...

the spawn issue I mentioned was fixed in an update. now cars will only spawn where you set them to spawn.

Or.. you could get the mod that allows you to edit locations with a GUI instead of doing it manually..
