So brake or exhaust jobs need more trys than complex engine fixing (or exchanging the gearbox).
But as the parts in the crates not interessting for me - I am not so into it.
I like more buying scrap from the junkyard, restore the cars and make a decent profit. Some of the modded cars have tearing a whole in my wallet, so I have to earn some money..... ;)
All I have read is a 40% chance
Thank you.
In the beginning, when we got the patch with the cases, I received a new crate almost after every job. Maybe 2 of 3, which was far more than 40%.
Now they obviously drastically reduced the probability of getting a crate. I get one maybe once in 4 or 5 jobs... Which is much less than 40%.
Yes, I know you can be "unlucky" and be in the 60% area for a couple of jobs in row, but its still strange.
Edit:
After doing some math ( boy I really hated statistics at the university...) I saw its pretty possible to get only 1 crate in 4 jobs. And the probability is 34,58 % (if my calculations are correct, but I think they are).
So I guess, its unlucky, but really possible. I would say I was wrong and there is no evidence that the red dot guys reduced those 40%!
I think m3c0 is right about luck, too. I read people complaining that the charger and challanger never appear in the junkyard but the FIRST trip i took after installing the dlc i found a charger.
Yep, its a good question, we dont know exactly how it works. But I guess its only about the jobs, not their size or quality. I got crates for only replacing some exhaust manifolds and mufflers..
For me those random generated things are always a bit problematic, in all games. Thats why I was a bit sceptical as they announced the crates thingy. Because, people are leery. Or at least I'm ;) And when there are such things like probabilities involved, people start asking questions. Especially when they are not among "the chosen" ones.
Thats why its always good to have numbers and do some calculations first, before complaining. Because, numers are good, they dont lie.
The problem is - its just a game. Most of the people dont want to calculate things or they just dont have the info to do such calculations. They just want to play. But they get angry when they dont get crates or as you said - dont find their favourite car in the junkyard. Thats why I dont like so much things like random generators or probabilities in games. But I guess they are inevitable.
