The list of missing performance parts 2018
Second verse, same as the first. While I'm very happy that we finally have access to the Performance DLC (and for free, no less), some of the same issues exist with it as did with the CMS15 version. Namely, a great many parts which should logically have Performance parts avaialble don't. Considering this was well-received in the CMS15 forums and that we did eventually get quite a few of the missing pieces added post-factum, I'm looking to make a new one.

The same rules apply here. What follows is a list of pieces which currently don't have Performance counterparts despite sharing the same category as pieces which do have Performance counterparts:

Edits
  • [Rev #1] 4.12.2017: Added "Variants of Existing Performance Parts" category, moved Supercharger parts there, added Mechanical Fuel Injection Driver and various Rotary engine parts. Thanks to Tumpy_Noodles.
  • [Rev #2] 16.12.2017: Added missing performance parts from the Plymouth DLC.
  • [Rev #3] 30.01.2018: Added missing performance parts from the Bentley DLC. Changed the names of a few parts - either they changed in a patch or I mis-quoted them initially. Their naming convention is still unusual.
  • [Rev #4] 6.03.2018: Added missing performance parts from the Lotus DLC.
  • [Rev #5] 3.04.2018: Added missing performance part (singular) from the Pagani DLC. Added a missing I4 exhaust I'd missed (Front Exhaust Section B (I4 B)). Since the Pagani DLC offers a performance Intercooler, also added the Small, Medium and Large Intercoolers to the list of generic missing parts.
  • [Rev #6] 20.04.2018: Added a new section for previously missing Performance parts introduced in the 1.5.16 Beta, populated with unmarked parts. Did some additional minor restructuring. Added a missing performance part (Rear Exhaust Section (Huayra Tempesta)) to the V12 missing performance parts.
  • [Rev #7] 26.04.2018: Refactored the categories. The list is now split into two parts: A list of missing Performance parts and a list of previously missing Performance parts which have since been added to the game. Nothing has changed between the 1.5.16 Beta and Live in this regard.
  • [Rev #8] 6.06.2018: Added missing performance parts from the Ford DLC.
  • [Rev #9] 15.06.2018: Removed Rear Muffler (Mustang). I'd erroneously added it to the "Missing" list previously.
  • [Rev #10] 24.09.2018: Moved 72 parts from the "Missing" to the "Added" list with today's patch. Removed an Exhaust Section part which seems to have disappeared entirely since the last time I checked. Cleaned up previous edit notes for typos and clarity.
  • [Rev #11] Added missing performance parts from the Porsche DLC.
  • [Rev #12] Added missing parts from the Dodge Modern DLC. Refactored revision / change notes notations in the parts list. Change the entries for the V8 OHV D Engine Head since their unusual naming convention has been fixed. Moved Supercharger parts out of the "Variations" category and into the V8 and V8 OHV categries due to the introduction of a Performance Supercharger.
  • [Rev #13] 30.04.2019: Removed Rear Exhaust Section (Huayra Tempesta). The Rear Exhaust Section (Huayra) fits in both the Huayra and Huayra Tempesta cars. Fixed typo in Rev #11. Started adding revision dates again.
[/b][Rev #14][/b]29.01.2020: Moved all T-Series parts from "Missing" to "Added" as all of them now have Performance counterparts. Added missing Performance parts for the new Mercedes DLC (I think). A number of M186 pieces are missing for the I6 engine and a number of M117/M119/M159 pieces are missing for the V8 engine. Did some minor restructuring of the engine ordering because it was confusing me. Engines are now arranged as I -> V -> W -> B -> ROT -> Generic, then further by number of cyllinders.
[/list]

Great post. Not sure if it exist IRL but how about Rotors for the rotary engines.
Would also like to see brake and suspention performance parts.
Vert Startail Nov 3, 2017 @ 11:32am
there was a post like this for cms2015 and red dot used it to fill in the blanks.

I agree I'd like to see this but in reality I don't think we will.
jeep, dodge, mazda , brake, and suspension parts

Intercoolers are usually considered a performance item as are radiators and potentially water pumps, but these haven't gotten that promotion yet in either 2015 or 2018.

But there are also the visual tuning not actual power/torque influencing parts like paintable brake calipers, paintable springs, paintable shocks, paintable engines (blocks, heads, pans, intake manifold), paintable head covers, paintable rims, tintable windows.....basically just make everything paintable :steammocking:

What, you mean this one? :) It was pinned at one point and RedDot were actually pretty good about acting on it. I don't think much will happen to it now that they're working on CMS18, but that's all the more reason to make a new one.

While I do agree with adding more parts to the Performance Shop, the purpose of this thread is to list those with precedent. If Performance Air Intakes exist, for instance, then all Air Intakes should have a Performance counterparts. I'd like to see Performance Brakes and Shocks too, but we don't have precedent for those, thus I'm keeping them off the list.

I'd personally make a separate suggestion thread for entirely new Performance categories like these. My hope here is to simplify Red Dot's job, which will hopefully help get the missing pieces in the store faster.

thx for the list
AND we really need brakes and suspension "performannce" parts, I want some red springs and brake supports, anyway for what else there are tabs for brakes/suspension in perf shop?
Kelevra Nov 3, 2017 @ 1:46pm
Maybe even make performance brake/suspension parts paintable. THAT would be friggin awesome.
HEMIFOX426 Nov 3, 2017 @ 1:57pm
Yeah, I appreciate the Free dlc, but I think its incomplete, Alot of Dlc car performance parts are missing, and How about an engine swap function outside of the editor, The Challenger R/T is supposed to have a HEMI, but there is no HEMI in the main game, just in the editor, and when I tried to use the editor to make a HEMI Challenger, it wouldn't save the car file, so the editor is broken too.

Nice list 😊 hope they act on it!

Look the game is good for what it is and im sure they will get round to fixing issues if people report problems like the fella that made this thread has done, its missing alot like detailed electical wiring or the ability to make modifications to exisiting car bodys( i'd like to be able to chop down a roof in game and change cars into convertables or make buggys with roll cages from stripped cars) other silly things like no fuses to run the cars electricals, you don't have to bleed brakelines and such or cut down a part or modify it to make it fit, no air conditioning units it must get hot in these cars and most of all you don't need to buy grease! these engines are dryer then your grandma on sunday, roll down the windows because these cars don't come with climate controls! but i still enjoy the game. I figure that the tuning DLC will continue to be updated aslong as they are adding new content as any future DLC may require additions too the Tuning DLC. I think the title of the game sums things up as for how beta the whole game is, after all its a little early for 2018.

We will pin it and use it as a todo list :) Thanks again Malidictus
Malidictus Nov 20, 2017 @ 4:39am
Glad to help :) I'll try to keep on top of patches for the game and update the list as parts and cars are added. I figure a list like this would make finding the missing pieces easier. I have to imagine at least some of those fell through the cracks during development.
max wheatley 1997 Nov 20, 2017 @ 9:57am
finally someone made one a list for this
