Superchargers on V8 OHV Engines?

The game allows you to buy V8 OHV parts to convert the engine into supercharged versions, yet it doesn't allow you to add the parts when you buy them to add onto the car. Is this a bug, or is the game just being bad with bugs?

Right now the engines are locked to their specific builds. When they release the performance or tuning pack. I'm sure engine swaps and such will be a thing. Just be patient:)

You can change it in the editor. Thats what i did to give the mustang fastback a v8 ohv supercharger. I will warn you though, its so much power that it is almost impossible to keep in a straight line on the racetrack

Should be coming soon. They're getting through a pretty big buglist. Lately I've been complaining about bugs that have been hanging around a while. When they start getting to the lower priority stuff, you can bet they'll start adding new-ish content. Like new DLC's, and performance parts, etc.

I see this thread is pretty old already but I still have the same problem even though I have the tuning DLC installed. Bought the correct manifold to fit a super charger but it wont accept anything except for the old single carb manifold or a brand new one.... am I missing something?

you have to strip the engine down on the engine stand, take the block off the engine stand. Click the empty engine stand and select build new engine. from the list of engines pick the super charged version you want to make, rebuild the engine using the super charger parts.

This ^^ . Unless you select 'build new engine' with the engine stand empty then add a completely stripped (or new) block to it the game assumes you are still working on the old engine configuration.
