On the V8 and straight 6 engines that are RWD you will find it again at the lower back of the engine block where the transmission connects to the block.
Simply back out from the car, and enter through the bay to clear the problem.
At least some cars (possibly all, not gonna check them all to find out) will let you enter the bay by selecting the battery or cooling. I'm not sure that that will be adequate, but it may be.
