Starter accessible from engine bay

Will not allow me to take starter off. says acessible from engine bay. just doesnt make sense shouldnt have to take whole engine apart to remove the starter. anyone else run into this?

O.o - if it says that you just need to lower the car on the lift, open the hood, and take the starter off through the engine bay. Only V8's (iirc) can have the starter removed while lilfted. No need to take the whole engine apart at all.

i accidently removed the starter and dont know where it goes ;-;

On a FWD vehicle it is generally at he front bottom of the engine close to the flywheel and transmission. I think that there are one or two engines that have it on the rear of the engine.

On the V8 and straight 6 engines that are RWD you will find it again at the lower back of the engine block where the transmission connects to the block.

I've had minor trouble in the past, as the game is picky about where you start looking at the car. If you start at the suspension with the car lowered, it will allow you to move the camera over to the engine, but will not allow you to manipulate anything from the engine bay, and give you that warning.

Simply back out from the car, and enter through the bay to clear the problem.

At least some cars (possibly all, not gonna check them all to find out) will let you enter the bay by selecting the battery or cooling. I'm not sure that that will be adequate, but it may be.

I just lowered all the way down and it let me removed it.
