Nimble Hands/Educated skills...

Am I doing something wrong or is this bugged? I have educated which according to description shows 9 item conditions on viewing vehicles. but no matter where I am (garage, junkyard etc) all conditons show unknown. Is there something I've missed to activate the skill rather than being passive?

Sorry to bump a very old thread, but I recently just unlocked the 'Educated' skill which says it instantly examines 3 parts when seeing a car for the first time... but it does not seem to be working?

Get in "control mode" (with colors yellow, red etc.)

The skill show you some random parts condition, but rarely the ones you need ^^
You can work on a engine job and the skill gives you conditions for brake parts for example ...

the skill is 100% random and tbh I never bother unlocking it because it is basically useless.

considering that the "examined" parts don't even count towards parts examined for the achievement this skill is kinda pointless.
