Restoring Barn Cars. Help me please.
Hey guys! I have 17k now and i want to get a Barn car to restore. Do i just take the entire inside and parts out of it and replace them with new ones? How much will this cost. Are there still a lot of useable parts in them? Thanks in advance!

I found there were a fair few usable parts thhat arent quite new but very usable. the cost is alot more than 17k though basically the price depends on the work you want to do on it

I want to just restore it and sell with profit. Will parts that are like 60% condition be fine?

You will be lucky to pick up a barn car for 17k

Save another 15k before you even bother. At the moment they go between 35-55k from what I've seen when the should be at the least half that amount

Don't think it would be a good investment to restore cars until you are at least lvl 30, so you can repair the interior details and body. And you will start making money when you get 95% repair skill and the skill to also repair body parts.

I'm lvl 22 or so, and have bought a few cars - because I like them - but not going to start restoration on most until I can paint & detail them. I have 2 in my garage and 3 costing me parking. Concentrate on getting your level up and the cash will flow in.

It would be nice to have a garage showroom to promote your skills (and give somewhere to keep your treasured cars that you'd never sell).

I just recorded my 1500 junkyard build. I bought the truck for $13k and replaced EVERYTHING with brand new parts. In total, with selling all the old parts, the total project costs (including buying the truck) has cost me ~$34k. This truck has been completely restored except forn interior, body work welding and a paint job since I don't have those unlocked yet.

Of course you can save money repairing parts instead of buying new and junkyard cars are much cheaper than barn finds but are in worse condition.

What was your end sell price of that repaired truck? Was it profitable?
